Mtt Wood is a Melbourne-based artist working from the bayside suburb of Frankston. With a background in both visual arts and illustration—having studied visual arts and Illustration. Blending a deep understanding of classical technique with a contemporary design sensibility.
Over the past decade he has developed a distinctive visual style. Rooted in surreal, atmospheric imagery with illustrative graphic flare. His work reflects a fascination with the beauty of the eerie and the unknown. Drawing inspiration from traditional gothic horror and re-imagining it through the lens of contemporary pop culture. This blend of the darkly romantic and the modern fuels much of his creative expression. Giving his art a surreal and atmospheric edge.

Mtt has exhibited his work in galleries and shows across Australia, including several years as a regular contributor to Melbourne’s former Artboy Gallery. His work has also been recognized in national competitions, with appearances as both a finalist and award-winner. In recent years, he has expanded into the convention and market scene, running artist alley stalls and sharing his work with collectors around the world.
